Water Sports

The Hirschen lakeside area consists of a small beach, a seperated non-swimmer area, beach volley ball court, playground, table tennis, lawn chairs, sunshades and a kiosk with ice-cream, snacks and beverages. Parking is free and the bus stop “ Gunten village” is 2 minutes away. There is no entrance fee.

In Merligen you can swim in a heated outdoor pool (25m) or directly in the Lake of Thun with its pristine water.  There is also a small toddler pool and a bistro with warm and cold meals, a large sandbox in the shade and room for approximately 200 guests.  It is situated next to the ship station in Merligen (Hotel Beatus) and near a bus stop.  Limited parking is available.

The “Wakehouse“ is directly on the Lake of Thun in Gunten and offers a large variety of watersports and events.  An online shop for wakeboards, wakesurf boards, water skis and stand up paddles exists.  With a beautiful view of the Niesen (Swiss Pyramid), enjoy some great snacks and cold drinks from the kitchen. The Wakehouse can be rented out for company and for festive occasions.

Water sports year round.  This is possible in the Oberhofen Fitnesspark, with an indoor pool, an outdoor swimming area and minigolf.
